The 1959 Cadillac Eldorado
MOVIE MATERIAL

A story as exciting as "In Cold Blood" and "The Right Stuff"

The story surrounding the Gagnon Murder Car is fascinating from many points of view. The era was a wild and colorful time. Gagnon was a flamboyant character living the American Dream. The murder, investigation, and trial were archetypal. And the twists of fate were nothing less than bizarre. Each of these elements, by itself, provides the material for an exciting movie.

Movies about actual capital crimes have continued to generate strong interest among TV and movie theater audiences. From Son of Sam and Helter-Skelter to the relatively normal stories of Gary Gilmore, Peter Reilly, and In Cold Blood, the subject area has proved its strength on bare facts alone. The story of the White Seville is even more powerful than these past commercial successes because it has additional themes which are timely for the present market.

When this incredible story is told, the Gagnon Murder Car can take its place in movie history with "Christine" and "The Yellow Rolls-Royce."
