The Mullethead is a
fly I designed to do be fished many different ways. It is a floating fly,
that is very versatile.
You can pop it with
a hard twitch to make some noise, strip it fast to make it dive a few inches
bellow the water,
or you can pull it
slow and make a small wake on the water like a finger mullet or other small
baitfish do when
they swim on the surface.
Another great feature of the Mullethead is that it cast easily for such
a large fly.
It cast easier than
any spun deer hair diver or foam popper.
The Mullethead can be
used for any topwater situation, and for any saltwater, or freshwater species.
Great places to fish
the Mullethead are; along the mangroves for Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and
Seatrout,
on the shallow grass
flats for Redfish, Snook and Seatrout, and around the dock lights for Snook.
It is also a great
night pattern for Striped Bass. The Mullethead will also work great on Jacks,
Ladyfish,
Dolphin, Cobia, Bluefish,
Weakfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Musky.
Top to Bottom - White, Red-n-White,
