| Ken D. of Baker, LA writes- Had a great time with the Polar
Minnows. I got 6 Seatrout, 1 Redfish, 2 Bluefish, 1 Spanish Mackerel and
a Flounder on a chartruese Polar Minnow in about an hour. It's a great
pogey imitation! |
Dennis M. from California wrote: Dan,
I just got back yesterday from my trip to Loreto. I caught many
Dorado in the 10-25 lb range, Bonita, one small yellowtail tuna, Cabrilla
and a 90 lb Sailfish! All in all, everything performed perfectly, that
means the Penn 12 wt rods, the STH Salt Cassette reel and
your excellent flys. I caught the Dorado on your Super Squid pattern
and your Bally-Who and Dan's Superflash Minnow flys.
I also caught the sailfish on the Bally-Who, while trolling for
Dorado. I haven't gotten my pictures developed yet but will send
you some via email when available. Best regards. Dennis M |
| Gary R of Canada writes; Danny, Outstanding job on my flies
! I was comparing them side by side with some of the catalog flies that
I've received and it's obvious that there is alot of junk being mass produced
out there. I am placing another order for Tarpon Flies now! |
| Jack B. of California writes; This is second order for Dan's
Flies. I had such good results with the last set of flies you made me.
I caught Bonefish consistantly with your "Standing Sparkle Shrimp",
Crazy
Charlies and Snapping Shrimp. Your Web Site is especially helpful
and your leader system is very effective. I caught a variety of fish with
your flies ranging from Bonefish, Snapper and Barracuda. Once again, Thank
you and it is a pleasure to do business with you. |
| Henry B. of Austin TX says; Dan did an awesome
turning out several dozen bonefish flies in only 2 days. I can not wait
until I get to the Bahamas to test them out. Thanks Dan! |
| Shawn P. writes; WOW! DAN IS THE BEST! Anyone who
likes fly fishing can appreciate Dan's talents. I have recently ordered
a box of flies from him and the service was great! He even picked the colors
I needed for the water I was fishing for me! The site looks great and I
must say that Dan's flies are the strongest and most durable I have ever
fished with! Thanx alot Dan and Tight lines all, Shawn P. |

If you think this web site looks good! wait till you see these flys!! Last
weekend the MULLETHEAD produced the most redfish of any fly that
I had ever used. Thanks Dan ! |
| Richard E. of Texas wrote; If you have not
ordered flys from Dan you are missing out on some excellent flys. The workmanship
is outstanding and they do catch fish. I fished his
Savajoe Shrimp,
Savajoe
Minnow, Mullet Head and Glitter Spoonfly from Lake Calcasieu,
LA to Port O'Connor, TX, the first week of October. Dan creates some of
the best flys that I have seen and fished with. In fact his flys
were the only ones that I fished on the trip. I had two guys arguing in
Louisiana over whether Dan's Savajoe Shrimp was real or not when
it was in the water at night. If you can fool a Cajun about shrimp you
have a good fly. I caught trout and redfish and this was my first attempt
at saltwater flyfishing. Thanks Dan, this weekend the bass will be introduced
to your flys. |
Jonny K. from NY writes; Hi Danny. The trip
was three days of fishing a good portion of the day. The weather,
very hot Cape waters that cooled by the third day. All together I
caught approximately 20 stripers (largest 6 pounds), 7 bluefish (largest
9 pounds) and two flounder on the fly. Most of my fishing was done
from a kayak with one great day wet wading into the shoals.
Your flies performed great. A chartreuse Mullethead caught
a few blues and the Dan's Neerly Live Baitfish yanked a few schoolies.
The most successfull fly was the olive D.C. Wiggler which nailed
seven stripers almost back to back. |
| Leonard B. from TN write; I received my flies and
wanted to let you know how pleased I am with them. The quality of
the workmanship is first rate and unmatched. I almost hate to get
them wet. But the again I can hardly wait! I am really
impressed with your epoxy minnow I still had to let you know
that I will be a repeat customer and will urge my friends to do the same.
It's good to see that someone still takes pride and self satisfaction in
a job well done before their eyes are clouded by the dollar. Thanks again
and hope to hear from you soon. |
Fred M. from FL says; Been using the
"Mullethead " fly with great success. I usually start at first light
and have been catching plenty of redfish , snook and trout in the first
two to three hours. I feel like the fish are more wary of the normal top
water plugs (mirrorlures and such) and have been much more willing to attack
the Mullethead presented quietly. I've caught fish with all the
colors I have tried, but I seem to prefer the chartruese, I'm not sure
the fish care. I fish Tampa Bay on the
east side in about 2 to 4 feet of water, definitely my favorite fly. |
| Kent I. from CO writes; Thanks for
the excellent flys. I used your Dan's Epoxy Glass Minnow flys May
31-June 11 on Sanibel Insland and Captiva Island, primarily on the gulf
sides and did very, very well . The snook would run in packs of 1-30 along
the initial 5 ft. of the surf cruising the beaches, and we simply cast
out ahead about 10 ft. ahead of the fish & stripped the Dan's Epoxy
Glass Minnows in front of their faces. They aggressively took the flys
and then all you know what took place. We were the only ones fly fishing
and turned many heads as we outfished essentially everyone except the best
guides in boats using live pilchards (who can beat them?). All in all it
was a gas. The fishing obviously was majority sight fishing specific fish,
yet in the late p.m. near dusk we simply cast out further and stripped
in the Dan's Epoxy Glass Minnows which also worked. You made me
a beliver and I gave alot of people your name and website along the beach.
FUN, FUN, FUN. P.S. I also caught speckled trout and some mackeral along
the beach. They love the Dan's Epoxy Glass Minnows also. TIGHT LINES,
Kent I. CO. |
Jonny K of NY says; Outstanding! The tarpon
flies are sharp. The Neerly Live Pinfish look great.
The Glades Minnows look like Mike Conner's original design.
Everything is sharp.
Thanks again for the nice prototypes. Let me know when you update
your site with new goodies--I'll check it out, Danny. Take care Danny.
